Raise Women's Awareness Network
The RWAN initiative started in 2018 under the umbrella of the European Association for Viewers Interests (EAVI) with the support of the European Student Union (ESU) by the Together, Moving Forward (TMF) program.
RWAN was officially registered as a non-profit organization in Belgium in April 2021.
The initiative emerges from a strong belief in the right to education for all women and in helping refugee and immigrant women to become involved in societies through finding work and internships.
RWAN’s mission is to help refugee and immigrant women to have access to education and obtain professional opportunities in order to become productive individuals in Belgian society.
We assist them in preparing for challenges by building on their past experiences and providing guidance about the new tools needed for a brighter future.
50 women trained to use computers through our digital literacy courses to support them during the COVID-19 situation.
2019 - 2020
We celebrated the training of more than 100 women so far in the presence of representatives from five universities and ten organizations in Belgium.
